My science grades WERE PERCENTAGES! :O

Anyone remember the post I made a lil while back and I told my GCSE results?
I got back to school thursday where we all had a mini-meeting with the head of science,
yeah I seriously got 97% in my chemistry paper! :O I was really thrilled.

Anyway, I dunno what else to say...

I just wanted to pop in,. say hi,.. you know?? *sigh*   thinking of something interesting to tell you guys.

My friend came back from Greece, he's now in Tesero, Italy, some people had all the luck. He came back from Greece with an 'evil eye' on a keychain. If you don't know the evil eye it's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye The coincidence is that a few years ago my friend went to Turkey and came back with 2 bracelets for me with them on, one white one red, the white is my favourite and it isn't as badly tarnished, so i've started to wear it again.

I'm so bored

Have a nice Sunday and Saturday night everyone! :D

Last day of summer :(

Kris Lemche cigarette

Don't you just love my new icon?
No? Well I do because I ADORE Kris Lemche, it all started after watching Final Destination 3 ah man <3

Oh well, I can't just write this post to only be about my icon and my love for Kris Lemche now can it?!
I have 2 more icons and I didn't know which one to go for! It's such a hard decision when you find him so beautiful XD
Here were the other 2 please tell me if I made the right decision :S :
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket <--- see look at his face! It's soooo cute
 <--- And I don't remember why I liked this one :/

Anyway, i'm off meeting a friend tomorrow in town to do a bit of shopping on the last day of the summer holidays, but it's not all that bad, next year because it's my last year we have a lot more privilages and my best friend is flying back from Dubai tomorrow as well as another really close 'friend' flying back from Kos, where he's been for EIGHT days, having the time of his life with friends. :( (I hope he had fun but I seriously missed him)

Did I mention I went to a friends party a couple nights ago? It was good actually, I had a lot of fun, one of the girls I don't really get along with, I find her annoying, rude and egoistic, was there but we talked for a little while then close to the end of the party I stayed around with some of my other friends from art class, and because all we do in art is gossip sometimes and mess about we had great fun prank calling boys pretending we were from escort sites and what not :P It was funny.

Oh man I gotta go, I can't keep getting distracted by watching Kris Lemche repetively twirling that bullet in his mouth for much longer.

I've done something every day and it's exhausting, i've played sims a little bit but haven't really been into it because my mind has been somewhere else.

I got my GCSE results! :D I'm soo thrilled. Last year, because I was a year younger than I should have been to start the courses I was only allowed to do a minority of the exams so I have to do the rest next year like every other school. So last year I took 2 math modules out of 3 (next year when I do the 3rd that'll give me a full math GCSE), then I took statistics which is a stand-alone GCSE, then I took 3 sciences. We haven't been officially told what the science marks mean yet but they haven't been added to the marks for our practical exam, which is good. People think they're percentages and if that's the case i'm really happy.
1st math module: A*
2nd math module: A
Statistics: A
Chemistry: 97 (%?? Oh please God, I hope it's a percentage :P)
Biology: 90
Physics: 77

Which means the lowest i'll get is probably a B in physics unless my practical mark drastically pushes it up.
Anyway, after getting my results I walked from my school to the high street where I did some shopping! yay! Anyway, I got a top influenced by Balmain and I LOVE it. Because i'm quite short (159 :'() I can wear it easily as a dress,, that's embarassing to be short when everyone around you is like 170 already at 16, geez. I've been told i'm not short though, I was asked how tall I was by a friend and they said they're only 170 at age 26, oh well, it doesn't bother me, just means I can pull off things like this.
Then I got a cute belt and another shirt with DOLMAN sleeves. It makes me wanna kill myself how everyone calls it 'batwing' ermm, no, shops use 'batwing' cause it's easier to understand for those who aren't so interested in fashion, i mean, we all know what a bat looks like, no? But the term is actually Dolman, I actually find that easy to remember seeing as my doctor is doctor Dolman, so yeah. I think I better start carying a knife on the chance someone calls it a 'batwing' sleeve whilst i'm out shopping with them :P

I just haven't had motivation to do ANYTHING, I have to get a competition entry out for a comp. on boolprop (I know it's only a games forum) but I wanna do that, I need to book flights to Milan, I need to buy fabric, I need to get off my BUTT and design something, but I just don't really care right now. Whenever I think of doing these things I just push it into tomorrow, and we all know tomorrow never comes(?)

Anyway I need to wish a happy birthday to DICREASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a great day on your birthday, sorry I didn't do anything on the actual day but my mind has really been in other places, for example, school, and a whole TWO(!) of my closest friends are on holiday and I miss them, doing things with them and speaking to them.

Maybe I comfort shop, I don't know.

Writing - 1930's (NaNoWriMo)

  • Aug. 16th, 2009 at 7:11 PM

I know I didn't stick to it last time, but this time i'm determined to finish,... NaNoWriMo.
My story this time is set in the 30s, it's a detective type story which got me thinking about slang 1930's slang. So using the awsome power of google I found a lot of helpful sites.
And then I started thinking about profanities, i.e. cuss words the detective could say if something goes wrong. Some tame ones (to say in the presence of others) and some not so tame ones. I haven't done much research yet but I found this nifty video of a blooper reel of 'My Man Godfrey' which was a film I believe was made in '36.
It's interesting. It's mainly a blur of 'Christ' 'God Damn!' and other blasphemous words but I do hear the woman say 'shit'.

Anyway take a peek! :D

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and have a good week y'alls.

ARRHGHHGHGHGHGGH Right now I can't think of anything else to write, I have 80 (bloody) blank spaces before me staring me in the face going: "Fill us in SUUUUSAANNNN! Fill us iinnnnnn!"

Anyway, if any of you guys are interested, you write down 100 things you aim to accomplish within an exact year of now. This isn't my idea - There's a topic for it on boolprop

Here are my 20 so far:

1. Spend less time on the computer - cause you know, it's not healthy and it's just wasting my time
2. Read More - to improve vocabulary and general efficiency in what should be my first language - English - but i'm terrible at English
3. Spend more time with friends - During holidays and stuff i.e. organise more events with them.
4. Try and get a job - I tried doing this during school term but I wasn't successful, I might have more luck this summer or after I turn 16 in Jan
5. Work hard at school
6. Actually REVISE for GCSE's - not just claim to have done it.
7. Start sewing more regularly again - I used to sew a hell of a lot, like every day, but since we moved I haven't had much time.
8. Get a hair cut. - Into my dream style *remembers it* aahhh yeah!
9. Drink more water - isn't it just healthier?
10. Try to have a good school attendance - 95%+ - To be on a good chance of getting a place in 6th form I need attendance of 95%+
11. Complete NaNoWriMo. - I didn't do it last year, i'm not going to let it happen again!
12. Learn to swim/swim more. - I can already swim, but not far, not even a whole lap, I want that to change.
13. Tidy Room
14. Keep room tidy
15. Do NOT take Spanish - For A-Level after the boring and horrible experience of it at GCSE
16. Seriously consider to take history. - For A-Level after wishing I had chosen that over spanish for GCSE.
17. Try to separate myself from mean friend #1 and mean friend #2 - 2 of the girls in our group of 5 are so horrible and rude and i've had enough.
18. Floss Daily - I used to, but then I stopped, time to take it back up! - a clean mouth is a happy mouth!
19. Get a portfolio. - For my clothes, to keep all my projects in.
20. Make key lime pie. - It's my favourite.

Anyway, in other news, update coming soon and stuffs. But in real life:

Today I nearly got bitten by a wild cat. It was ok, everything was normal I was stroking it, on the head, on it's back and stuff and then it just lunged for my hand, luckily I pulled my hand away with nothing more than a red mark, I wasn't bleeding or scratched. so yeah, everything's ok.
And today! I found a French sims forum and could not be happier! I've always wanted to talk to French people about the sims and now I can.. ahh perfection.

Anyway off to add to the list. How is everyone? I hope you all have a nice day :D

Today after going shopping (only to sainsbury's and WHSmiths - where I picked up Alan Carr - Look Who It Is! and Dan Brown - Angels and Demons (having been very impressed by The Da Vinci Code) on a buy one get one free offer) I came back home feeling really sick.
So I've been confined to my room all day today, I've nearly read the whole of Look Who It Is! what with 300 pages I knew it wouldn't take long and I can't wait to start reading Angels and Demons I know i'm completely out of order with the Dan Brown book so far but I don't care Angels and Demons was the only one of Brown's to be on buy one get one free (I'm always out for a bargain).
And now i'm told i'm not allowed to start reading Angels and Demons just yet. Why? you ask.. well because i'm going to be stuck in an 8 hour car journey thats why, and my mum's reasoning is that a good book will surely make the time fly by! :D So it's all cool right? ermm no.
Tomorrow we're leaving at 2am to get to Paris for breakfast (8am) then doing some touristy things around Paris (going to the Louvre :D) staying in Paris until afternoon and then going to the gite. So that means, if I were to get sleep I'd have to get up at 1 regardless to get ready, and that's normally the time i finally get to sleep on a weekend anyway, so what's the point of sleeping! But then once we've left i've promissed I won't sleep during the car journey as once we hit French soil my parents are useless in the language department.

My dad once went into a bakers to get loaf of sliced bread, simple right? Not in France it isn't, in a traditional French bakers if you've ever been, they don't have pre-sliced loaves so you have to order it to be sliced, my dad points to the bread and makes a chopping motion with his right hand and then uttering the magic "s'il vous plait" as if that takes the laughter from the assistant who has the job of chopping our bread through the machine would magically go away because he knows the word for 'please' and 'thank you'.
And there's me wishing to go slice my own head in that very painful looking machine thinking to myself 'God, how embarrassing!'

Anyway I need to stay awake so I can get my parents out of trouble basically. What fun. I don't actually know if bread comes pre-sliced in English bakers to be honest. I'm a city girl and as far as i'm concerned, bread comes from Tesco's or Asda's etc.

Tonight i'm deternined to get a good night's sleep so I won't be as tired come midnight tomorrow. But I know eventually i'll be laying awake worrying about if I don't get a good night's sleep i'll be like a walking zombie...

Anyway, it's a saturday night which means - music downloading spree!!

What are you all up to?  huh??! huh??!

Ok, first I had a real bad time with Slideshare to upload this *glares at the web-page menacingly* and then I realised I wrote 2.1 on the powerpoint and photo AFTER I uploaded it.

Gosh I felt like an idiot, but that's what happens when you write at the middle of the night cause you can't sleep.

Anyway, please excuse my rant and enjoy.

Haha sorry for the title but i'm in such a happy mood.
Well, there's a lot of non-sim related stuff that i've been wanting to get off my chest, so here we go.
On the 15th (the day it came out :O) I went to see the new Harry Potter with a few friends after school. If you haven't seen it by now I recommend you go even though they left a lot of stuff out of the book.
Then on Friday school had finished :D It always annoys me how in England schools finish way later than in the States (and in France), if I was still there I would have done my 'brevet' which is an official examination the equivalent to GCSEs and so then the whole of the high school finishes at the same time the 3eme finish to do their brevet. Wow... next year I am a 2eme student... O_O
Then over the week I went out with friends and stuff like going shopping.. (I needed an outfit for a friend's party) and then next week i'm off to France *breathes sigh of relief*.
We're stopping off for a day in Paris to do touristy things like visit the Louvre and go to Notre Dame and then at the end of the day we're heading dow to Bretagne to stay at Lucy-sur-Yonne. It's a small village by a lake...
One of the days we're heading to Besancon which is the home town of my French teacher at school, it's a beautiful town.

The whole of Besancon is on that 'island'. Truly beautiful

I'll be sure to post lots of photos of our trip.
Then when we get back from France I don't know what we'll do...

Sit around playing sims I guess :P

Peut-etre....   .....   ....Lille... Oui j'adore Lille. :)

Since we moved 6/7 weeks ago now I haven't been able to do any sewing and it was driving me insane but yesterday I cleared the boxes off my table and pulled the sewing machine out, I made completed 2 projects that I started ages ago, a vest and some shorts, that I can FINALLY wear!! :D *does happy dance*

Ok I promised you a sims related story.
This is [sacasm] a great series of events that happened to my game yesterday! [/sarcasm]

IT CRASHED!!!! I was having a birthday party and invited around 9/10 people as well as the 6 people living in the house aswell and I was about to do the last aging up (because 3 simmies were getting aged up at one party ;) That's how I roll ^^) and it crashed, and now i'm in a really panicky mood because I haven't played the game since it crashed to see how much i've lost, so before I do that I might back up my files onto my external harddrive or something..

*Sigh*
Have a good week, and to all us English kids - LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!! :D

I'm TOTALLY not stalling

*sigh*
The weather has just been amazing hasn't it? Everyone has been complaining that it's so hot down here they can't breathe, but i've found it really pleasant.
I don't know, compared to an Asian summer (hell, even a French summer) England has had nothing.
One of my friends who's recently moved to Kensington from Nagasaki thinks this weather is cold. I'm not that extreme,, but i definitely don't think the weather is hot. Either way I have a gorgeous tan :P
I really am trying to not stall so much.
For example i've had 2 sewing projects to do for ages now, and so I started one last saturday but it's nowhere close to finished.
I've been busy with other stuff, for example CORNROWING EVERYTHING WITH HAIR! haha

I learnt to cornrow sometime in the week and it's really addictive. But then again, i'm a person that gets addicted very easily to things. So i've spent most of my time on the internet looking at designs.. Some are so intricate *aspirationnnssss*

So apart from sewing and cornrowing, i've had exams with went well, and then there's the general 'talking to people' thing and socialising stuff.
I now have all the photos for the next legacy update. I started writing it a few days back,, so hopefully it'll be up soon.
I signed up for a joint legacy on boolprop too, i'm looking forward to it, and whilst it's my turn to host a generation, the Tale of sim will still be going on, but the communal project is more important than my own stuff.

Also, what's stopping me from doing things is that i'm hooked on Michael Jackson and The Da Vinci Code :P haha. i can't concerntrate on anything if i'm reading and I can't do anything noisy if I'm listening to music..
At least that's my excuse...
